CW Announces Renewals for Arrow and Flash

The CW announced today that they have issued early renewals on eight of it’s shows which are currently airing.

Included in the list are Arrow(season 4), The Flash (season 2),The Originals (season 3), The 100 (season 3), Jane the Virgin (season 2), Reign (season 3), The Vampire Diaries (Season 7) and Supernatural (Season 11.)

With the success of the Arrow and Flash crossovers being the highest watched episodes of both series it was a no brainer for the renewal. The partnership with CW and DC entertainment are pumping out some amazing television and you can only hope for more in the future.

CW announced the reason for early renewals was to allow more time for the executive producers to plot out the future for each series.

“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees. The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”

The Flash returns from it’s winter break Tuesday, January 20th at 8 pm. Arrow will return the following night Wednesday January 21 at 8 pm.
