Comic Book Legend Herb Trimpe Has Passed Away

herbLegendary comic creator Herb Trimpe has passed away at the age of 75. He was known most for being the co-creator of Wolverine and the artist on many Marvel titles. He gave us beautiful art on many titles including The Incredible Hulk, Amazing Spider-Man, G.I. Joe, Iron Man and tons of other Marvel projects. He was known for keeping himself busy through out working on comics. His most recent work was drawing a strip for Savage Dragon from Image Comics.

It was confirmed by the family that Herb had passed:

“This past weekend I had the pleasure of seeing my cousin, Herb Trimpe, in action doing what he loved – meeting fans and drawing comics. I was there capturing video and interviews about his life and work with Marvel for a documentary that we were planning to work on,” posted Glen Baisley to Facebook. “Little did I know, this would be the final time I would get to see him. I wanted to share some very sad news with everyone. Monday night, Herb passed away.”

Herb Trimpe was born on May 26, 1939 and lived his life in Upstate New York. He was survived by his wife and four childern.

While he will be deeply missed by everyone in the comics community his legacy will live on in the four color pages forever.
